Nursing audit is an essential tool for evaluating professional performance and ensuring the quality of the Nursing Care Process (NCP), allowing the establishment of evaluation criteria within healthcare services. Likewise, healthcare professionals have the ethical and legal responsibility to make diagnoses within their field of competence. In physiotherapy, the physiotherapeutic diagnosis identifies functional movement disorders and physical limitations in patients in order to design appropriate interventions. Furthermore, aging is an irreversible physiopathological process associated with functional deterioration and an increased risk of chronic diseases such as cardiovascular, neurodegenerative, and musculoskeletal disorders. According to United Nations estimates, by 2050 the population over 65 years of age will increase significantly worldwide.

  • Vol. 3 No. 2 (2021)
